Farhad Moshiri could sack Sean Dyche as one of his final acts in charge at Everton following a dreadful 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday (31 August).

The current owner, who is looking to offload his majority share at Goodison Park, will be massively disappointed after the Toffees chucked away a 2-0 lead over the Cherries.

Dyche is already under tremendous pressure, with his side opening the new Premier League season with consecutive defeats to Brighton and Tottenham, but this result is a whole new low.

Goals from Michael Keane and Dominic Calvert-Lewin looked set to secure all three points for the Toffees, which would have lifted them off the foot of the table, but Dyche’s team just collapsed.

Concerns had already emerged when Antoine Semenyo poked home to potentially begin a comeback, and goals from Lewis Cook and Luis Sinisterra in added time came as a crushing blow for the Evertonians.

Sean Dyche to be sacked after Everton crumble v Bournemouth?

There is no understating how important getting the first win of the new season can be, especially for a team like Everton, but the self-destruction from the Toffees may just seal Dyche’s exit already.

The Merseyside club have now conceded 10 goals in three matches, and although they managed to net for the first time this term, the defeat is just inexcusable.

Dyche will have no excuses for the result. He can’t. There is nothing the manager can say to make the fans feel any better after watching the team throw away all three points.

Even taking a draw from that game would have been disappointing, but at least it would have been anything other than a loss. A third consecutive loss, emerging in such fashion, is unacceptable.

Players, pundits and fans are just speechless. Everton just hit the self-destruct button, and are now back to square one after a brilliant showing for the majority of the match.
