'Viktor Gyokeres will choose Man United over Arsenal' after Rio Ferdinand claim

Man United supporters are convinced they will end up signing Sporting CP star Viktor Gyokeres after Rio Ferdinand’s latest comments on the transfer rumours as he believes the Ruben Amorim factor is crucial.

Ferdinand told TNT Sports, “If he wants to win he goes to Manchester United.

“The key point is he knows the manager, for a transition into another league, to go with somebody who knows your game perfectly and actually can get the best out of you and he’s proven he can do that somewhere else, and you’re going to go somewhere where he’s rebuilding, and you’re at the start of that process with him.

“I think he’ll be licking his lips at something like that [joining Amorim].”

The 26-year-old has proven himself to be a goal machine this season for Sporting CP as he’s scored 24 goals in 20 games across all competitions which has brought plenty of attention to him from various European clubs.

The striker sparked the rumour mill of him joining United recently by following Bruno Fernandes on social media, which some people took as a hint of where his future will be.

United fans believe that the connection Gyokeres has to United’s new boss coupled with Ferdinand’s point about trophies could be enough to swing things in their favour.
