John Wenham believes Tottenham could build a networking partnership with Scottish side Hibernian.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose claims this would allow the North London side to send some of their younger players on loan to the Scottish Premiership.

Tottenham confirmed via their official website (25 June) that Nick Montgomery and Sergio Raimundo have both joined the club as assistant coaches.

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has detailed how that might help the club.

“Montgomery and Raimundo were both working with Hibernian up until last season,” Wenham said.

“Therefore, looking at the bigger picture, I hope all of these arrangements can lead to more successful networking opportunities for Tottenham.

“It might provide us with good opportunities to loan out some of our younger players.

“I’m sure the coaches from Hibernian will have good networks in the Scottish League and could perhaps help us form some sort of partnership with Hibs themselves.”

Could the Scottish Premiership be a good destination for young players at Tottenham?

Securing positive loan moves for young players can sometimes prove difficult.

Alejo Veliz is a perfect example of that, with the young striker struggling to make any impact while on loan in Spain with Sevilla last season.

Therefore, having a good relationship with a club can help open pathways for some positive loan opportunities.

Spurs have several talented young players who would benefit from loan spells.

And by sending them to Hibernian it would offer them a chance to play senior first-team football in a British league, allowing them to remain in the United Kingdom.

This could therefore prove to be a beneficial connection for the club.
