Youssef En-Nesyri and Sevilla holding out for better offer amid Fenerbahce interest

Sevilla are likely to try and move on Moroccan forward Youssef En-Nesyri this summer, but are biding their time for a good offer. The 27-year-old is out of contract next summer, and thus it makes sense to cash in on him this year, which could be valuable to them in a difficult summer economically.

The offer they do have is from Fenerbahce, worth €12m to join Jose Mourinho in Turkey, but neither player nor club are convinced. Sevilla initially set a €20m price tag, and En-Nesyri is awaiting a bigger club or a more lucrative offer, the latter referring to a potential move to Saudi Arabia depending on how the summer plays out in terms of their marquee moves.

In Europe, AC Milan sounded him out as an alternative to Alvaro Morata, and Roma are considering him if they cannot sign Alexander Sorloth from Villarreal. En-Nesyri is reluctant to go to the Premier League unless a major club comes in for him, having turned down West Ham twice. Relevo explain that En-Nesyri had a brief trial at Chelsea, and did not like the climate or the football, hence his reticence to return.

En-Nesyri has been a crucial part of Sevilla’s attack in the last few years, and it will be interesting to see the direction Sporting Director Victor Orta goes in up front. Peque has arrived from Racing Santander and can play behind the forward, and Isaac Romero renewed his deal several months ago, but outside of those two, they have no options to play through the middle, perhaps exceptiong Dodi Lukebakio, although like Peque, it is not his natural position.
