Dan Bardell says who 'the right man for the job' is at Tottenham

Dan Bardell believes Ange Postecoglou will be slammed for his tactical approach at Tottenham if he changes it after a run of poor form.

Spurs bounced back to winning ways in the Premier League last time out against Brentford after scraping through in the EFL Cup against Coventry City.

Postecoglou stood by his footballing ideology despite being criticised for a lack of goals in the opening clashes of the campaign.

Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell thinks that the Australian will come under fire no matter how he sets up his Tottenham side.

Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Bardell said: “That’s just how he is as a manager, that’s his brand of football.

“Coming under fire for not changing from how you think football should be played, if he changed it for any reason he’d probably come under fire for that anyway.

“There’s an antsyness around Tottenham at the moment but he took them from eighth to fifth last season and they play nice football.

“Spurs aren’t in a position to rip things up and start again, they’ve got to trust the process and stick with Postecoglou because he’s the right man for the job.“

It was service resumed at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against the Bees despite going 1-0 down within a minute after a Bryan Mbeumo wondergoal.

Postecoglou has been slammed in recent weeks for showing stubbornness which has seen some unfavourable results.

Losing against Arsenal was frustrating but was matched by the Newcastle United clash which Spurs should have won.

The North Londoners had plenty of chances but dilly-dallied too much and couldn’t make them count throughout the clash against the Magpies.

Spurs looked better against Brentford with Dominic Solanke getting a much-needed goal which could act as a catalyst for the rest of the campaign.
