Everton fans are unhappy with the style of football being played by the club at the moment, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that there is a growing feeling that Sean Dyche’s style is “not the way that they want to see Everton play.”
Supporters aren’t happy with how many goals the club have conceded in the opening four matches of the season, which is more than any other team in the Premier League.
Everton have lost all four of their opening Premier League games which have left the Merseyside club bottom of the league heading into this weekend.
Dyche’s side have blown a two-goal lead during their previous two league outings, which has added to the frustrations around Goodison Park.
The fans want to see the team win games and progress up the table, which would see a change in mood surrounding the club.
Everton fans could get on Sean Dyche’s back
Football is a results-based business, and there is growing pressure on the former Burnley boss to start turning the ship at Goodison Park.
Sources have told Football Insider that fans will likely forget about the style of football if results begin to improve.
The 53-year-old is valued by the Everton board for steering the club away from relegation during his 20 months in charge.
However, defeat in both of their matches against rival clubs could now result in his time in charge being brought to an abrupt end.
