Everton and West Ham both tabled bids to secure the services of Roma striker Tammy Abraham, according to Corriere Della Sera.
The Italian newspaper via its online edition on 1 August, Page 9, the England international turned down the opportunity to move to Goodison Park as he only wants to join AC Milan.
It’s understood that Roma are looking for £25.3million to part ways with the 26-year-old forward.
Everton should pursue alternatives to Tammy Abraham
The Englishman’s lack of interest in moving to Goodison Park, as he only wants to move to AC Milan, indicates that he may not be fully committed to the club if he were to join.
This lack of commitment could affect his performance and motivation on the pitch, which would be detrimental to Everton’s success.
Pursuing a player who is not interested in joining could result in wasted time and resources that could be better spent on other targets.
Moreover, Everton’s financial situation and the need to comply with Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) make it crucial for the club to invest wisely in new signings.
Pursuing Abraham, who is not keen on joining, could lead to a higher transfer fee and wages, which may not be the best use of their limited financial resources.
Hopefully, this ends their pursuit of the striker and they can then focus on alternatives in the coming days.
