Exclusive: Brighton interested in signing four key Leeds players as Georginio Rutter bid made

Leeds United have been busy in the transfer window over the past few days, with a first-team signing coming through the doors at Elland Road and a top talent leaving.

The Whites have sold Archie Gray to Tottenham Hotspur, who in turn have allowed defender Joe Rodon to join Daniel Farke’s side permanently.

Now, on the eve of pre-season, Leeds are having to deal with more of their top players being the subject of interest from Premier League clubs.

Leeds reject £30m Brighton bid for Georginio Rutter amid interest for three other Whites players

TBR Football understands Brighton have opened talks with Leeds over a deal for their record signing Georginio Rutter. However, the Championship club is not looking to sell.

The West Yorkshire giants lost Gray, one of their prized assets, over the weekend, but now they could struggle to hang onto another.

TBR can reveal that Brighton are keen on Rutter and lodged a bid worth around £30million – but Leeds have shunned their opening offer.

TBR can also reveal that Brighton have spoken to Leeds about Crysencio Summerville, Willy Gnonto and Glen Kamara in recent weeks.

Leeds must do their best to keep team core at Elland Road

Leeds have some interesting weeks ahead. With the club still in the Championship, Premier League outfits are trying their luck with regards to signing their top players.

Losing Rutter would be a big blow for the Elland Road outfit.

While he was at Hoffenheim, director Alexander Rosen deemed him “one of the most promising young players in European football”.

Rutter boasts an “unbelievable blend of athleticism, technique, speed and an eye for goal”, added Rosen.

He has shown these traits at Leeds, and it certainly looks like there’s much more to come, so it would be a shame to see him go.

Likewise, interest in the likes of Summerville, Gnonto and Kamara is something Leeds will need to work hard to fend off, as it risks derailing their season before it even gets under way.
