Exclusive: What the Saudi Pro League are now planning if Al-Ahli can't sign Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney

Chelsea look like they’re going to end up missing out on both Ivan Toney and Victor Osimhen this window thanks to the Saudi Pro League.

Al-Ahli are believed to have agreed a deal to sign Osimhen, while Toney is undergoing a medical in London ahead of his own switch to the Middle East.

As we know, Chelsea have been linked with both players this window.

The Blues are believed to still hold an interest in Osimhen and reports have claimed today that Osimhen was still actually waiting for Chelsea to make a move.

Still, there have been claims that Al-Ahli won’t be able to sign both Osimhen and Toney, which has kept Chelsea in the loop.

However, TBR Football understands that the Saudi Pro League are hatching a plan to ensure both players get their move to Saudi anyway.

Saudi Pro League planning to sign both Ivan Toney and Victor Osimhen

TBR Football understands that the Saudi Pro League wants both Ivan Toney and Victor Osimhen.

We are told that if Al-Ahli don’t sign both their plan is to make sure another team take on the striker who does not join Al-Alhi.

Al-Alhi have agreed terms for both players. Of course, their interest could run after today given the transfer window in Saudi Arabia doesn’t close until September 2nd.

Osimhen is believed to have been offered huge money to sign a four year deal with the Saudi outfit.

Al-Ahli currently have issues in terms of the amount of foreign players in the squad permitted by league rules.

However, it appears that the league and PIF – who effectively own five clubs in the Saudi Pro League – are looking to come up with a way to ensure both players arrive.

Quite who the other club involved could be, remains to be seen.

Previous big buys have gone to the likes of Al-Ittihad, Al-Nassr, and Al-Hilal.
