'From what I’ve seen...' - Wenham raves about striker Paratici told Tottenham to sign

John Wenham does not believe Tottenham will pursue a move for Dušan Vlahović this summer.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose claims the Serbian will always be a target due to Fabio Paratici’s interest in the player.

As reported by Football London (25 June), Tottenham have previously looked at a move for Vlahović, with the club’s former managing director of football known to be a big fan of the striker.

However, Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – doesn’t see anything materialising this summer.

“He has been heavily linked with Spurs for a long time,” Wenham said.

“His profile is more similar to a player like Harry Kane. He has that ability to drop deep and pick passes, so that could be an interesting one.

“I don’t get the impression from what I’ve seen that we’re actively pursuing him. As a result of Paratici’s recommendation, I am sure he is someone who will always be on the list.

“However, I don’t see us moving for him this summer.”

It feels as if Vlahović has been linked with a move to the Premier League forever.

He is still only 24 years old and there is therefore plenty of time for him to make a move to England at some point in his career.

Whether or not he decides to join Tottenham remains to be seen. However, if he has been recommended by Paratici, then Spurs would be wise to take a closer look.

Paratici has hardly steered Spurs wrong when it has come to transfers in the past, and his long-standing influence could see Vlahović one day make a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
