Hugh Keevins has told Philippe Clement to Google house removal numbers if Rangers suffer defeat against Celtic in the League Cup final.

The Gers face their Old Firm rivals at Hampden Park on 15 December as the Belgian looks to secure his first win against the Hoops.

The manager has already come under fire at Ibrox this season, with a negative result against Aberdeen being the last straw for many supporters.

Writing for the Daily Record (17 November), Keevins believes the 50-year-old will have to leave if his side falls to defeat again against Brendan Rodgers’ side.

He said: “If Clement loses to Celtic and goes six games without a win over Brendan Rodgers’ side, he should go home and Google removal firms in his adopted part of the city.

“The manager of Rangers who can’t beat Celtic can’t remain as Rangers’ manager.”

Rangers boss Philippe Clement faces must win Celtic clash

It has been far from an ideal start to the campaign for the Light Blues, leaving them third in the league table, nine points off top spot.

This comes after a summer where 11 new players came in through the doors at Ibrox, with the likes of Nedim Bajrami and Vaclav Cerny coming in with high expectations.

Although there have been some positive moments, on the whole this season has been shrouded in negativity from supporters towards the players and manager at Ibrox.

With that being said, the Gers have still managed to reach a League Cup final, where they will face Celtic in a bid to retain their trophy.

Clement’s side only narrowly made it through the semi-final, with Andrew Halliday putting Motherwell ahead before a late winner secured a win and progress to the final.

This could prove to be a get-out-of-jail-free card for the Belgian, who appears to be given a chance by John Gilligan as he continues the process of rebuilding the Ibrox board.

Given Clement’s negative record against Celtic, fans may not have high hopes for a positive result, and that could prove to be the last straw in the sack race for the manager.

In other Rangers news, Ibrox chiefs should be ashamed after what Connor Goldson has said about his exit.
