'I can't recall...' - Kieran Maguire reacts to new Everton financial update from The Esk today

Kieran Maguire admits that he “can’t recall” the last boring week at Everton with a new short-term debt funding arrangement set to be announced.

Responding to The Esk’s update via X (9 September), Maguire made his feelings very aware as the Toffees prepare to meet immediate cashflow requirements at the club.

It is said that the new arrangements will not solve any ownership issues but will remain as a stop-gap until a takeover is finally confirmed.

Maguire wrote: “I can’t recall the last boring week ahead for Evertonians.”

Farhad Moshiri needs to sell Everton as soon as possible

For what seems like forever, Everton have been up for sale with a plethora of names and businesses showing their hand in making a move for the club.

There have been countless attempts at takeovers, with zero success over the past two years.

John Textor is the latest man to try his hand, with an exclusivity agreement already signed with Farhad Moshiri [David Ornstein].

Textor has made his situation more than clear as he tries to sell his current shares in Crystal Palace for the Everton takeover to be sanctioned.

The American Businessman has already had dealings with the Toffees after both Orel Mangala and Jake O’Brien made the move to Merseyside from Lyon, another one of his clubs.

Goodison News was exclusively told that Textor is willing to flood Everton’s squad with new transfers should his takeover go through.

Only time will tell what the future has in store for Everton but at least those troublesome cashflow requirements are set to be looked after, for now.

In other Everton news, an update has emerged about the injury that Seamus Coleman sustained.
