'I'd like to see...' - Scott Allan names change Clement should make in Rangers v Dundee United

Rangers have to give Hamza Igamane his first start against Dundee United after his brief debut against Celtic, according to Scott Allan.

Igamane, signed for around £2million from Moroccan side FAR Rabat, has not yet started in Philippe Clement’s team since his arrival and played just 11 minutes with the Gers already well beaten at Parkhead.

Heading north to Tannadice this Sunday, the team are already under immense pressure and Allan believes the young forward should be handed his chance.

Speaking on the PLZ Football Show [11 September, 31:59], the midfielder said: “I’d like to see changes, ideally a few.

“I thought Igamane looked decent when he came on – he looked like he wanted the contact, and away at Tannadice I’d maybe go with him.

“See what he’s got, maybe something different. Something has to give in that Rangers side.”

Philippe Clement under pressure to change Rangers team

Clement is in a tricky predicament – his list of Rangers players he can entirely rely upon could be counted on one hand at the moment.

The chaos ensuing outside the bubble of on-pitch concerns is taking matters to boiling point with the supporters, who would usually be making the trip up to Dundee United in full expectation of a win.

At this point, it’s uncertain. For every day hitting Ross County for six, there could well be a frustrating draw or defeat on the road.

And that is the reality of the team right now – major surgery into the squad will not work overnight, and for now represents an instability which hopefully for the club will be ironed out and beneficial in the long run.

Rangers are five points behind Celtic and cannot lose further ground before next month’s international break.

In other Rangers news, Aberdeen could make a decision that affects Light Blues fans.
