Nottingham Forest are in great form at present, sitting seventh in the Premier League table after winning four and drawing four of their nine league fixtures so far.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s Reds have beaten Liverpool and drawn against the likes of Chelsea and Brighton on route to seventh place in the standings.
Now, Nottingham Forest are set to host West Ham United at the City Ground on Saturday afternoon, 3pm kick-off.
The East Midlanders will fancy their chances against a Hammers outfit that has blown hot and cold for much of the season.
Alan Shearer, writing on Metro, looked ahead at the game between Forest and West Ham, predicting who’ll win the match.
The Premier League legend also singled out one Forest player who has left him “hugely impressed”.
Alan Shearer “hugely impressed” with Nottingham Forest’s Chris Wood
The player in question is Chris Wood, who is one of the Premier League’s most in-form strikers at present.
Wood scored twice last time out against Leicester to take his tally to seven goals in nine Premier League games this season.
“With Forest at home and the confidence they’ve got, I think they’ll beat West Ham, especially with the form of Chris Wood,” said Shearer. “I have been hugely impressed with him in front of goal.
“Wood is in the form of his life and his goal last week epitomised a forward in-form with great confidence.
“It’s an incredible feeling going out onto the football pitch expecting to score and he’s in that vein of form at the moment, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he gets another goal this weekend.”

Wood a doubt for West Ham clash
Sadly, there’s a chance that Wood may not feature against the Hammers, after suffering a knock.
Wood is a doubt along with Morgan Gibbs-White, Elliot Anderson and Jota Silva, as confirmed by Nuno.
“We have some issues. We are still assessing and still have one day to go,” the Forest manager said in his pre-match press conference, as per the Evening Standard.
“It is always the same – after a period of the season with some hard matches, players get knocks and injuries, players coming back. We have to assess them.
“Morgan is one of the players inside that group that we have to assess and see how he is. Chris also, and Elliot and Jota. They have knocks.”
