Injury Expert: Tottenham ace now likely to be ruled out for first-team training in September

Tottenham striker Richarlison is unlikely to return to first-team training in September due to his injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that the Brazil international could be ruled out for a few weeks and believes that the 21 September return date [Premier Injuries] appears to be accurate.

The 27-year-old has made two Premier League appearances this season but has not started either game for Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Discussing the state of play with Richarlison exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said: “He picked up the injury in training and is expected to be ruled out for a few weeks.

“Based on the potential return timeline around 21 September, he will likely be progressing through more dynamic activities with the hope of returning to team training after the international break.

“It’s fair to rule him out for the entire month from first-team training.“

Richarlison needs to maintain his fitness to succeed at Tottenham

Richarlison is undoubtedly a quality attacker but his fitness has let him down, especially since his move to Tottenham.

At Everton, he proved to be a game-changer consistently and has not managed to do that in North London.

Postecoglou and the Spurs fans will be hoping that once he recovers from his injury, he could be a first-team regular and make important contributions in the final third.
