Jamie O’Hara tore Cristian Romero to shreds live on talkSPORT on Saturday in a new admission about Tottenham.
The former Spurs midfielder has been heavily critical of the defender this season and dubbed him a “liability” on this occasion.
Speaking live on talkSPORT [16 November, 7:06 pm], O’Hara added that Micky van de Ven is 10 times the player the Argentina international is.
“He’s been a liability for Tottenham this season. Liability,” O’Hara said.
“Van de Ven is ten times better than him this season, he’s a better player.”
Former Liverpool striker Dean Saunders added that he would have gotten Romero sent off in every game had they played against each other.
“He’d be right up my street, Romero”, he chimed in.
“I’d just let him think he can get the ball. Every time it came to me, I’d just let him think he could get it and just nick it.
“He’d just foul me, non-stop. Ten minutes, off. It’s his own fault, brainless.”

O’Hara is not wrong in saying that Romero is susceptible to the odd error, but one cannot deny his importance to Tottenham.
The centre-back has started in each of Spurs’ 11 Premier League games this season, captaining them on three occasions and chipping in a goal.
With Van de Ven already sidelined with an injury, Ange Postecoglou would be in trouble if something were to happen to Romero.
Postecoglou’s nightmare might come true as the 26-year-old was hooked at half-time in Argentina’s 2-1 loss to Paraguay on Thursday [14 November].
Journalist Gaston Edul later revealed via X [15 November] that the defender played with pain in his right foot and must undergo a scan to determine the significance of his injury.
The North London club visit Manchester City in the Premier League on 23 November when they return from the international break and could now be without the Argentinian.
This could leave Postecoglou with Radu Dragusin and Ben Davies as his only available senior centre-backs.
In other Tottenham news, Wilson Odobert has been spotted in a hospital after suffering an injury setback.
