Bryan King claims Manor Solomon could join Leeds United permanently after the Tottenham forward moved to Elland Road on loan.
The ex-Spurs scout doesn’t think the winger has a future under Ange Postecoglou.
Tottenham confirmed via the club’s official website on Tuesday (27 August) that Solomon has joined Leeds United on loan for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.
And King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – feels that could spell the end of his short stay in North London.
“I could see him leaving Tottenham, without a doubt,” King said.
“He doesn’t seem to be in Postecoglou’s plans for the future. Therefore, if he is a player that they’re prepared to sell, then he needs to be put in the shop window.
“Leeds United is a good shop window for him. If he does well, Leeds could choose to sign him permanently, and if they don’t, there could be interest from perhaps other Premier League clubs or clubs abroad.
“In terms of the fee, it all depends on what he achieves with Leeds, but Spurs aren’t in a position to ask for silly money for a player who has hardly featured for the club. Should a club come in with a half-decent offer, I’d imagine he will be allowed to leave.
“Perhaps his performances might make a few people at Tottenham think they’ve made a mistake and they need to take another look. However, it will be down to Solomon to play well and decide his future.”
Tottenham forward Manor Solomon to join Leeds United permanently?
Spurs supporters haven’t had much of a chance to see what Solomon can do.
During his debut season with the club, he played just six times before a knee injury ended his campaign prematurely.
He hardly featured in pre-season, with several forwards preferred ahead of him. Therefore, it was no surprise to see the player leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on loan.
While this exit is only temporary, it also wouldn’t be a surprise to see the move made permanent next summer. Joe Rodon made his stay with Leeds permanent after a spell on loan from Spurs, and if Solomon performs well, he might end up following in the Welshman’s footsteps.
In other Tottenham news, one player’s contract could be terminated as payoff discussions are speculated.
