Lilywhite Rose: Brand new Tottenham player already makes impact behind-the-scenes

John Wenham claims Archie Gray has already settled in well to life at Tottenham.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose has revealed that the 18-year-old is already on good terms with several of his new teammates in North London.

Tottenham announced the arrival of Gray from Leeds United via the club’s official website on Tuesday 2 July.

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes the young midfielder is already making quite the impact.

“A lot of the academy boys already know Gray from their time in the England youth group set-ups,” Wenham said.

“Therefore, he is already on good terms with the likes of Jamie Donley, Dane Scarlett and Alfie Dorrington. As a result, he has settled in very quickly.

“The move from Leeds to Tottenham is a very well-trodden path. We’ve seen the likes of Robbie Keane, Paul Robinson, and Aaron Lennon all make that switch.

“I’m sure Gray will do well, and he seems to have established himself amongst the squad quite quickly.”

Will Archie Gray be a success at Tottenham under Ange Postecoglou?

Postecoglou will no doubt be a big fan of Gray.

The youngster is incredibly versatile and can play across the midfield as well as at right back. As a result, there will be plenty of opportunities for Gray to shine in North London.

With the UEFA Europa League on the agenda next season, Postecoglou might look to hand Gray some minutes in that competition, which could see him establish himself as a first-team regular.

And if he is already making an impact behind the scenes, that will only help his case.
