Ibrahim Sangare has wowed Nottingham Forest fans with his pre-season friendly performance against Chesterfield on 13 July.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side ran out 3-0 winners in their first pre-season outing, with Sangare getting himself on the scoresheet during an impressive all-round performance.

The midfielder struggled to impress in his first season at the club, often looking out of place and lacking focus, but his performance showed what he can do when he’s at it.

A highlights package of his performance emerged on social media, building up the hype around the display among Forest fans.

While there was some caution to go over the top, given the level of their League Two opponents, many think he has now shown signs of a return to form.

Sangare arrived from PSV last season in a £30million deal, but featured just 24 times as the Africa Cup of Nations and knee issues disrupted his first season at the City Ground.

Now, supporters have insisted this will be a “massive” season for the Ivorian midfielder, while some claimed he would be “like a new signing”.
