Tottenham learn Chelsea stance on Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall January transfer

Chelsea are open to letting Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall leave in the upcoming transfer window with interest from Tottenham, according to The Daily Briefing.

The news outlet reports [13 November] that Tottenham are one of the clubs keeping an eye on the midfielder’s situation ahead of January.

Dewsbury-Hall signed for the Blues in the summer transfer window, but the club could part ways with the 26-year-old in the coming months.

Ange Postecoglou has preferred a peculiar midfield this season, with Dejan Kulusevski playing most of his football in the engine room.

Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur have rotated in the number six position, while Pape Matar Sarr has come into his own after a slow start to the current campaign.

James Maddison has seen his influence in the team go down as the England international has struggled to replicate the form he showed when he first joined the North Londoners.

Dewsbury-Hall has caught many people’s attention over the years with his performances at Leicester City, and the midfielder was critical as the Foxes won promotion back to the Premier League.

The 26-year-old moved to Chelsea this summer, but Enzo Maresca hasn’t fancied him, with the English national not featuring in the previous six fixtures for the Blues in the Premier League.

Considering Dewsbury-Hall’s situation at Stamford Bridge, it wouldn’t be out of the question for Spurs to be able to get him on a temporary deal in January, but it remains to be seen whether Daniel Levy and the other decision-makers will make a move for the Englishman.
