'Unexpected bonus' - David Edgar reacts as multi-million Rangers transfer news emerges

Rangers are likely to get an unexpected bonus from the sale of Jose Cifuentes, according to Heart and Hand’s David Edgar.

The potential sale of Cifuentes to Aris Thessaloniki for £4.22million is a good deal for Gers for several as the Ecuadorian struggled to make an impact during his time at Ibrox, failing to establish himself as a key player in the team.

This suggests that he was unlikely to ever become a regular starter for the club.

The fee of £4.22million represents a significant profit for Rangers, considering they signed Cifuentes for around £1.2 million [Sky Sports].

This demonstrates the club’s ability to make a substantial profit on a player who did not meet expectations.
