Tottenham Hotspur are up and running in the summer transfer window and chances are they’re only just getting started.

Spurs have made one new signing this summer, landing Archie Gray from Leeds United. Lucas Bergvall has also arrived from Djurgarden.

Ange Postecoglou enjoyed a decent maiden season in charge of Tottenham, and they’ll be determined to seal a top-four spot next year.

A new striker could be on the cards at Spurs, as still they haven’t brought in a like-for-like replacement for Harry Kane.

Tottenham have been linked with a host of strikers, including one who has been deemed “one of the best strikers in the world”.

However, Spurs now risk being beaten to his signature, as AC Milan are said to have approached his club, and he’s apparently keen on a move.

Tottenham target Tammy Abraham subject of AC Milan approach

The player in question is Roma’s Tammy Abraham, who appears to be up for sale this summer.

TBR Football recently claimed that his £28million price tag is seen as excellent value by a host of Premier League sides, including Tottenham.

However, Fabrizio Romano has now reported that Milan have made contract with Roma over Abraham, who in turn would be keen on a San Siro switch.

Romano claimed that the Rossoneri’s plan for next season involves Alvaro Morata, Luka Jovic and another striker, who they’re currently pursuing.

Abraham not a priority for Tottenham as things stand

Abraham endured a difficult 2023/24 campaign, making only 12 appearances in all competitions after fighting back from a serious cruciate ligament injury.

As the 26-year-old enters the final 24 months of his contract, Roma have now seemingly decided to look for buyers.

A recent report from GiveMeSport, citing sources close to Tottenham, indicated that Abraham isn’t viewed as one of their priority targets.

However, the “amazing” forward could yet become the ‘best value option’ of the current forward players on the Spurs radar.

Now, it looks like a question of who wants him more. Milan seem especially keen on him, while the north Londoners currently don’t seem too fussed.
