Exclusive: Top clubs race to sign Southampton sensation

Southampton star Tyler Dibling has caught the attention of England’s top clubs with his performances so far this season, sources have told Football Insider.

The exciting winger made his Premier League debut in a 1-0 defeat against Newcastle in August and has since established himself as a regular in Russell Martin’s team.

Southampton are without a win in their first seven league games, taking just one point from a draw with Ipswich Town – in which Dibling scored his first goal for the club.

As a result, multiple Premier League clubs are plotting a potential move to sign the 18-year-old should the Saints fall back into the Championship at the end of the season.

Sources say some of the biggest clubs in England have sent scouts to watch him play on multiple occasions after his eye-catching displays.

This comes after Football Insider reported that Tottenham and Man United are among the clubs keeping an eye on his progress.

Dibling has established himself as a regular fixture in the starting XI at Southampton and has so far been one of the brightest points of their season.

Despite a difficult start upon their return to the Premier League, the winger has stood out as one of their most impressive players despite his tender age.

With United and Tottenham among several elite clubs keeping tabs on his progress, the South Coast outfit may struggle to keep hold of him, should they find themselves relegated.

His current deal at St Mary’s is set to run until 2027, but there is a feeling at Southampton that he will need to be tied down to new terms to secure his future at the club.

It has been said that the top clubs are eyeing a move to sign Dibling early in his career before his value skyrockets in the future.

This is Dibling’s third stint with the Saints, having spent time in the academy setups at Exeter City and Chelsea before returning to St Mary’s on both occasions.

He has previously spoken about his attachment to the club, referring to it as his “second home”, but there is a belief he could be tempted away once more.
