'Here we go': West Ham now closing in on yet another 'great' player, medical tomorrow - Romano

West Ham United is currently a hotbed of transfer activity and the east Londoners could soon be making multiple new signings.

The Hammers already have three new signings over the line, with Luis Guilherme, Wes Foderingham and Max Kilman having joined this summer.

Over the past few days, West Ham have been spinning multiple plates, and now it looks as though three new arrivals could be on the cards.

It has already been reported that Crysencio Summerville is closing in on a move to the London Stadium.

And on Friday night, two different journalists have reported that West Ham have made breakthroughs regarding two different players.

West Ham book Guido Rodriguez medical

Firstly, Sky Sport Germany journalist Patrick Berger reported that the Hammers have managed to reach an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for Niclas Fullkrug.

And now, Fabrizio Romano has reported that West Ham have booked a medical for Guido Rodriguez after agreeing terms with the free agent.

The transfer insider reported that the 30-year-old midfielder’s medical is scheduled to take place on Saturday, after which he will sign a contract with the Hammers.

West Ham set to sign proven winner

Rodriguez is a talented, experienced and tenacious midfielder who costs nothing in transfer fees, as he left Real Betis earlier this summer.

“Guido is a great player and can adapt to any team,” former teammate Chadi Riad told Mundo Deportivo earlier this year.

Rodriguez also comes with a proven record at the highest level, having won the 2022 World Cup, two Copa America titles, a Copa del Rey with Real Betis, the Copa Libertadores with River Plate.

Barcelona’s loss is very much West Ham’s gain, as Julen Lopetegui continues to build a squad that will hope to bounce back after a disappointing season last time out.
