'Incredible' forward who Arteta really wants Arsenal to sign has now been made to train alone - journalist

Arsenal were able to give their fans something to cheer about on Wednesday night in their impressive victory over Bayer Leverkusen.

There has not been an awful lot for Arsenal fans to cheer about this summer with the Gunners one of the quieter clubs in the market.

Mikel Arteta will, however, be delighted with the signing of Riccardo Calafiori who arrived at the club just a couple of weeks ago.

But there is room for more to come through the doors at Arsenal over the remaining weeks in the window.

And it seems one of their targets has now been forced to train alone as speculation surrounds the player’s future.

There is still work to be done for the Gunners in the window with Arsenal preparing their bid for Mikel Merino.

The Real Sociedad midfielder could be on the move as his contract winds down to a conclusion with the Spanish outfit.

But Arsenal are also going to need some attacking reinforcement given Gabriel Jesus could only muster up four goals in the league last term.

And they may have just been given some encouragement that one of their targets could be available over the coming weeks.

According to journalist Heiko Niedderer, Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane is now training on his own.

Bayern are preparing themselves to reclaim the Bundesliga title in what is going to be Vincent Kompany’s first season at the club.

But the former Burnley manager is seemingly going to be without Sane with the player not training alongside his teammates.

With the 28-year-old not involved in the weekend’s victory over Tottenham Hotspur, Sane could well be out through injury, but the winger has been spotted training with the ball.

Arteta is a big fan of Sane and would love him at Arsenal this summer and a deal could be viable given he now has just 12 months left on his deal.

Leroy Sane would be a big statement buy from Arsenal

The Gunners already have quality on the wings, but there could be a case made for needing further depth ahead of the new season.

Leandro Trossard is pushing Gabriel Martinelli for a spot in the starting XI but it is clear Arsenal need to same level of competition on the other side.

And in Sane, the Gunners could land themselves an ‘incredible‘ winger who has plenty of experience in the Premier League.

During his time at City, Sane was able to return 39 goals and 43 assists across all competitions in 135 appearances.
