King claims Tottenham player will accept June transfer amid Fabrizio Romano update

Bryan King claims Djed Spence will accept a move to Genoa amid a Tottenham transfer update.

The ex-Spurs scout believes a move to Italy is “sensible” for the defender.

It comes after Fabrizio Romano revealed via X (7 June) that the two clubs are “advancing in talks” with all parties keen to reach an agreement in June.

And King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – thinks the transfer benefits everybody involved.

“I think this is a good move for Spence too,” King said.

“He isn’t going to play regularly at Tottenham, so this seems a sensible move and one he is sure to accept.

“If the finances are right, then it appears to be a good move all around.”

Djed Spence to quit Tottenham and join Genoa in June

This seems to be a logical decision.

Spence has no future in North London and with Genoa happy to sign him, Spurs should get a deal done.

Should the transfer be complete this month it will give Daniel Levy an early cash boost. That money can then be reinvested into other players this summer to improve Ange Postecoglou’s squad.

Spence has never been offered much of a chance since joining Tottenham.

While it seems harsh on the outside looking in, there must be behind-the-scenes issues which supporters are unaware of.

A move to Italy would be best for the player so that he can get his career back on track.

And for Tottenham, it is another important step as they continue to rebuild under Postecoglou.

With Romano suggesting that all parties are keen to reach an agreement in June, it seems as if an announcement could arrive in the coming weeks.
