King speculates Tottenham need stadium debts paid off as MSP investment update emerges

Bryan King claims Daniel Levy needs help paying off debts at Tottenham amid a new investment update.

The ex-Spurs scout believes that the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is a big financial burden on the club.

It comes after a report in Football London (3 June) revealed that Spurs have denied any suggestion they are in talks with MSP Sports Capital.

But King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes the club do need investment from somewhere.

“I would imagine this has come to fruition due to the cost of the stadium,” King said.

“Repayments will need to be made, and those won’t be small. The stadium isn’t paid for, and the club will want any investors to help them pay off the majority of the stadium.

“MSP will need to spend a lot of money.

“But they’re American, and Tottenham have been one of the advocates of bringing NFL to England.”

But why the chairman is conducting that search isn’t quite clear.
