Lilywhite Rose hails 'Phenomenal' Tottenham star after what he did v Galatasaray

John Wenham was impressed by Dejan Kulusevski’s second-half performance for Tottenham in their 3-2 UEFA Europa League defeat against Galatasaray.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose thinks Tottenham looked like a different side after Ange Postecoglou’s substitutions at RAMS Park on Thursday (7 November).

Kulusevski was introduced at half-time alongside Rodrigo Bentancur, with Son Heung-min and Brennan Johnson making way after a poor first half.

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – was also impressed by Bentancur’s impact.

“We looked like a different side when Dominic Solanke and Bentancur came on,” Wenham said.

“Bentancur was superb as he has been for most of the season. I thought he did himself no harm with the Premier League games coming up.

“Kulusevski as well was fantastic after coming on. The way that he just rolls his body off people is phenomenal to watch.

“After those players were introduced, I thought Tottenham were worthy of a draw.”

There were a lot of talking points after Spurs’ action-packed clash with Galatasaray, with one player slammed by ex-Spurs scout Bryan King after his “horrendous” mistake.

However, the North London outfit were much better in the second half, with Solanke hailed after the impact he made.

And Kulusevski was a big part of the reason that the visitors improved. As a result, Postecoglou would have been delighted with the Swede.

And this latest display only further reinforces that Kulusevski should be one of the first names on the teamsheet in North London.
