Rangers appoint brand new scout to Philippe Clement's backroom staff - report

Rangers have appointed Ludovic Lemor as a new scout for Philippe Clement’s backroom staff, according to Football Scotland.

Writing on their website (3 July), the news outlet report that the Belgian has joined the team on an official basis as a Technical Scout after leaving Marseille at the end of the 2023/24 season.

Lemor has previously worked at Double Pass, which is a company which helps professional football clubs scout talent and develop young players.

Rangers continue Ibrox overhaul for Philippe Clement

Since Clement came into Ibrox last year there has been a real effort from the club to rebuild behind the scenes as well as on the pitch, and that is now continuing.

Clement has brought in several of his own people behind the scenes and the strategy in place in the transfer market is one he clearly approves of, with young players being signed with a view to a potential future sale.

Rangers clearly trust him fully because he is having a lot of things go his way, and now it’s his job to perform on the pitch and ensure that they don’t underperform once again.

Kris Boyd has already stated that he will be under “massive pressure” this season to produce results, with Celtic having won 11 of the last 12 league titles in Scotland.

That’s not good enough and with all the pieces in place behind the scenes now, the club must start performing adequately once more to improve and get back to where they feel they belong.
