Dan Bardell can’t see Everton sacking Sean Dyche despite the potential risk of losing their best players if he stays at Goodison Park.

It has been suggested that key players could opt to leave the Toffees if the Englishman’s contract is extended past its end in the summer [The Esk, 3 November].

This could prove to be a risk not worth taking for Dan Friedkin if he takes over from Farhad Moshiri in the coming weeks or months.

Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell believes it would be a risk for the club’s hierarchy to move Dyche on given the Premier League stability he brings before the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium move.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Bardell said: “I just think with Everton, there’s always a drama around them.

There’s always these kinds of things coming out but Sean Dyche has never struck me as a manager who would have a problem with man management.

I think in terms of Everton’s managerial position, as a club it would be very risky to change Dyche regardless of these stories. Everton won’t go down with Dyche, they will get results and do enough.

I look at who is out there, who is going to come in and make it any better or play better football. I do really think it is better with the devil you know.

Everton could lose key players if Sean Dyche stays

There are multiple stars at Goodison who Dyche may struggle without if they are to make the move away from Goodison in the summer.

The ex-Burnley boss does operate with a certain type of football which may not be attractive to new signings like Jesper Lindstrom or Iliman Ndiaye, despite the latter having a positive start to the campaign.

It will be interesting to see what Friedkin decides to do if he is to take over with the manager’s role likely to be high up on the agenda for the American.

In other Everton news, one star is said to already be under pressure as the latest injury update has been shared.
