Vaclav Cerny has sent Rangers teammate Nedim Bajrami a two-word message after the Czech Republic’s win over Albania.
Both Gers stars featured in Friday (11 October) night’s UEFA Nations League clash, with Cerny and the Czech Republic running out 2-0 winners thanks to a brace from Slavia Prague forward Tomas Chory.
Although neither Light Blues attacker had their best games, with both players being substituted in the second half, they were quick to interact after the full-time whistle.
Taking to Instagram on Friday (11 October) Cerny shared an image of him and Bajrami swapping shirts on the side of the pitch with the caption: “My Brother” partnered with the Czech Republic and Albanian flag.
What has happened to Vaclav Cerny at Rangers and Ibrox?
It is good to not only see Cerny and Bajrami sharing a moment on the international stage but also see the Rangers winger back on social media after a difficult few weeks at Ibrox saw him delete his Instagram account.
Part and parcel of being a player for either of the Old Firm clubs is the pressure that comes with it. When you’re not playing well, fans will let you know that and Cerny was unfortunate enough to get on the end of that a few weeks ago.
However, the Czech international did the right thing and silenced his critics with his display against St Johnstone at Ibrox. His brace in front of the home crowd showed that he has the ability to make a real splash during this loan spell.
Hopefully, he will return from the international break full of confidence and really get his time at Ibrox up and running consistently after a stuttering start.
While it is hard to gauge a relationship based on just a couple of words, Cerny’s comment also suggests that it hasn’t taken long for either him or Bajrami to settle into the changing room in Glasgow.
It can only be a good thing for clubs when players get on behind the scenes and it appears as though Philippe Clement’s side all have each others’ back at this stage.
