View: Everton player could be like a new signing for Dyche after developments

Everton have had another tough season so far which has been impacted by events off the pitch leaving the Toffees in a precarious position.

However, following the completion of the Friedkin Group’s takeover of the club, the Blues will be looking ahead with more optimism.

Sean Dyche has certainly got his side in a more solid position after they picked up points against Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City.

That being said, with half of the season left to be played, Dyche will need the backing of the new owners to make the right additions to his side in the January transfer window to improve again.

However, one player who could refresh the side could come from inside the club is Youssef Chermiti who has returned to the squad after a spell out injured.

Youssef Chermiti could be like a new signing for Everton

Since he arrived at Goodison Park, Chermiti has only made 18 appearances for the Toffees, all of which were last season.

This term his football has been curtailed as he has been subjected to the sidelines after suffering from a foot injury that has taken a while to recover from.

The 20-year-old has finally got back to fitness though and has been involved in Everton’s squad for the last two games although is yet to come off the bench.

This isn’t much of a surprise given the difficult games the Toffees have faced of late meaning they haven’t really required attacking substitutions.

However, as Dyche looks to refresh his squad in the New Year, he will no doubt be looking for someone up front who can do a better job than Dominic Calvert-Lewin who has been unable to deliver this term with only two goals so far.

Although Chermiti has admitted he doesn’t know what his future holds, this is a great opportunity for him to reannounce himself at Goodison and earn himself a place in the side regularly going forward.

It would be great for Dyche if he could have someone to solve his problems that is already in his squad and therefore, the young player could prove to be exactly what is needed.

In other Everton news, one of the Toffees’ star men faces a contract situation which needs to be resolved as soon as possible.
