Nedim Bajrami left Albanian media impressed after the Rangers star scored a penalty for his country against Ukraine in the Nations League.
The Red and Blacks hosted the Blue and Yellow on 19 November, with the home team losing 2-1 despite Bajrami getting on the scoresheet.
Ukraine had already taken a two-goal lead in the first half before the Gers attacker found the back of the net from the spot in the 75th minute to half the deficit.
Despite Albania’s loss, the media back home weren’t too disappointed with the 25-year-old, with Gazeta Shqip [19 November] leading with the headline: “The red and black party erupts – Bajrami scores with a penalty against Ukraine.”
Gazeta Shqip [19 November] were again impressed with Bajrami for his impact, writing: “The second half started at a different pace, thanks to the two substitutions made by Sylvinho. Bajrami and Uzuni put the Ukrainian defence to the test.
“It was Uzuni who won an 11-meter penalty in the 73rd minute, which was converted into a goal by Bajrami two minutes later.”
Ekspres Sport [19 November], though, were disappointed with the Red and Blacks, writing: “After a disappointing first half, Silvinjo played all possible cards to turn the score around in the second half. Uzuni won a penalty, which was later converted into a goal by Nedim Bajrami, keeping hopes of a reversal alive.
“However, the Red and Blacks failed to send the ball into the net again, leaving the final score 1-2 for the Yellow and Blues.”
Rangers will hope Nedim Bajrami brings Albania form back
Bajrami has been one of the bright sparks at Ibrox this season, with the team struggling to perform under Philippe Clement.
Rangers did well in identifying the 25-year-old and signing him this summer from Sassuolo.
The Albanian has made 13 appearances in all competitions for the Light Blues, scoring three goals and providing an assist.
Clement has slowly started to integrate the midfielder into the team, and he has now started in the last five Scottish Premiership fixtures.
The Ibrox faithful will hope that Bajrami will bring his form back to Glasgow, with the team pushing to get close to Celtic and Aberdeen in the league, with the team currently nine points behind the table toppers.
Clement isn’t a popular figure at the Bears at the moment, with struggles continuing.
With Dundee United up next in the Premiership on 23 November, the Belgian will want his best players like Bajrami to show up.
