John Wenham expects Son Heung-min to start against Aston Villa at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.
The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose believes it will be a “phenomenal boost” for the North London side to have the South Korean back for the Premier League clash against Villa.
Ange Postecoglou confirmed via Spurs’ official website on Friday (1 November) that Son has returned to training and could be available for the clash with Villa on Sunday (3 November).
And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – is delighted by the update.
“I imagine not only will Son feature, but he will start against Villa,” Wenham said.
“He’s had a few weeks off, and if he trained fully on Friday, then it looks like he will be back, which would be a phenomenal boost.
“Getting our best-attacking player, our world-class talisman back in the side is massive.”
Son Heung-min to start for Tottenham v Aston Villa?
Son has missed six of Spurs’ past seven matches. Therefore, having him available against Unai Emery’s side would be huge.
Postecoglou’s players exerted a lot of energy during the 2-1 victory over Manchester City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday (30 October). As a result, the Australian will be keen to rotate.
And if the Spurs boss can bring in the fresh legs of Son, that could be a game-changer.
In other Tottenham news, Juventus are readying a January loan move for one player at the club.
