Rangers transfers: Four Lads issues two new strikers verdict with Dessers exit admission made

Steven Clifford from Four Lads Had a Dream believes Rangers need to bring in two new strikers this summer.

He also does not see Cyriel Dessers wanting to leave the club despite him being the fourth choice in case the two new forwards arrive.

This comes despite Give Me Sport reporting on 17 May that the Nigeria international’s exit this summer was increasingly likely.

Clifford said on the Four Lads Had a Dream YouTube channel on 17 June at 10:00 “Rangers are definitely interested in nines. It is a case of whether the bid for Rrahmani is not enough and they’ve moved on. We’ll find out in due course. I think we need two nines coming into the club plus Danilo. I don’t see Cyriel Dessers overly keen to move either.”

Rangers to go into next season with four strikers?

Four strikers could provide Gers with much-needed depth and flexibility in their attacking options.

With a packed schedule that includes domestic league, cup and potentially European competitions, having multiple strikers would allow Philippe Clement to rotate his squad effectively.

This would help prevent fatigue and reduce the risk of injuries, ensuring that the team maintains a high level of performance throughout the season.

Moreover, having a variety of strikers with different playing styles could give Clement tactical flexibility.

Depending on the opposition or game situation, he could deploy a target man, a poacher, or a false nine, allowing Rangers to adapt their approach and keep the opposition guessing.

Apart from the strikers, Gers must also re-sign Abdallah Sima who has been a standout performer and his pace, skill and goal-scoring ability have made him a fan favorite.

Retaining his services would not only ensure continuity in the squad but also provide a proven goal threat, further enhancing the club’s attacking prowess.

In other Rangers news, a first-team player is close to agreeing on personal terms with another Ibrox exit on the cards this summer.
