Report: As well as Emile Smith Rowe, £50m Arsenal player is now also very close to leaving the Emirates

Arsenal are close to bringing yet more money into the club on top of the potential sale of Emile Smith Rowe to Fulham.

The Gunners are getting busy in the market it seems with the new season just weeks away.

As well as the incoming signing of Riccardo Calafiori, Arsenal are also looking to sell a number of players as they look to give themselves room to manoeuvre in the market.

As we know, midfielder Emile Smith Rowe is thought to be on his way to Fulham, while there has been talk of the likes of Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah following him.

Nketiah, of course, is down the pecking order somewhat and has been linked with a £50m move away from The Emirates for some time now.

And after recent reports linked Nketiah with a move to Marseille, it now looks like things are progressing on that front.

Eddie Nketiah close to agreeing personal terms with Marseille

According to French media outlet La Provence, striker Eddie Nketiah is edging towards agreeing terms with the French outfit.

It’s reported how personal terms are close to being agreed but at the moment, there is still a gap in the valuations between the two clubs.

Arsenal are looking to get good money for a player they have spent years developing and with £35m coming for Smith Rowe, a similar fee will be wanted.

Marseille are having a change themselves this summer and have already sold Iliman Ndiaye to Everton.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could leave, as could Ismaila Sarr, while they’ve already paid money to bring in Mason Greenwood from Manchester United.

Nketiah, meanwhile, is desperate to play first-team football next season and prove his point after years of feeding off scraps at Arsenal.

Much like Smith Rowe and Nelson, the timing feels right and a move to France could aide him, much like it did with Folarin Balogun.
