Sean Dyche drops new update on Everton attacker at Finch Farm before Ipswich showdown

Sean Dyche has confirmed Iliman Ndiaye is in full training ahead of the Everton trip to Ipswich Town on Saturday [19 October].

As quoted by the Liverpool Echo’s Joe Thomas [17 October], Dyche said the summer signing trained the same day, having been withdrawn from Senegal’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Malawi on 11 October.

The enforced substitution was a precautionary measure, while Dyche also offered an update on Armando Broja and Youssef Chermiti, adding the duo are both on the grass.

“It has settled down quickly [on Ndiaye] – he trained today,” the Toffees boss said.

“Armando and Youssef are on the grass with the sports scientists. Armando is likely to be back sooner of the two.”

Everton set to welcome back key players v Ipswich

Everton are hoping to welcome back several defensive options as well as surviving Ndiaye’s scare while on international duty.

Jarrad Branthwaite is the name supporters will be crying out for the most, having seen his only appearance so far this season correlate with the solitary Premier League win over Crystal Palace.

In the same update from Thomas, Dyche explained a decision will be made on Branthwaite at Portman Road within the next 24 hours.

Vitaliy Mykolenko and Seamus Coleman are also nearing a return, with Dyche appearing to emerge from the internationals with a cleaner bill of health among his squad than a fortnight ago.

Ipswich were poor defensively in their last outing against West Ham United, shipping four to hand the Hammers their first home points of the season, and Everton – unbeaten in three after an appalling start – will be looking to turn the screw further with what would be a statement win.
