Tottenham get positive reports ahead of new Jamie Gittens transfer push

Tottenham have Borussia Dortmund star Jamie Gittens on their radar, having received encouraging reports on the forward, according to CaughtOffside.

Spurs, along with Premier League rivals Arsenal, have been keeping an eye on the 20-year-old, but a figure of around £50 million has been mooted for the Bundesliga outfit to consider starting negotiations.

Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest have also sent scouts to watch the English national, however, Dortmund have no intentions of parting ways with him.

Will Tottenham get Jamie Gittens?

At the moment, Gittens is still early in his career, and the winger has yet to prove his quality over a consistent period for the North London side to make a move.

The Englishman isn’t a regular for Dortmund at the moment, but with four goals in 10 appearances already this season, that might change soon.

For Tottenham, the attacking potential of the team isn’t an area of concern for now, with Son Heung-min, Dejan Kulusevski, Brennan Johnson, Richarlison, Timo Werner and Dominic Solanke at Ange Postecoglou’s disposal.

However, with the South Korean not getting any younger, Spurs will inevitably have to look for someone to fill that void in the coming years.

But it remains to be seen whether Gittens will be the one the North London side will go for, despite the forward showing glimpses of quality.

Also, with other teams like Arsenal in the race for the 20-year-old, will Spurs’ hands be forced into making an early move for the prospect? Only time will tell.
