Cristian Romero has sent a reminder of his quality to Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou.
Postecoglou relied heavily on Romero during his first season in charge at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Having named the centre-back as one of his two vice-captains alongside James Maddison, the 58-year-old handed Romero 33 Premier League starts.
The 26-year-old only missed out due to injury or suspension and was utilised whenever possible.
He formed an impressive partnership alongside Micky van de Ven with the pair set to be an important feature of Spurs’ plans next season.
And Romero has sent Postecoglou a reminder of just how important he is in North London.

Romero was in action for Argentina on Sunday (9 June) as the World Champions recorded a 1-0 victory over Ecuador.
It was Angel Di Maria’s strike which proved to be the difference between the two sides, with Romero supplying “the key assist” in the 40th minute (via Tottenham Hotspur, 10 June).
In addition to his contributions going forward, the defender also helped his nation keep a clean sheet.
As per Sofascore, Romero made one clearance and one tackle while he also won two of his three aerial duels and two ground duels.
He also impressed on the ball as he completed 95 per cent of his passes and played two accurate long balls forward from three attempts.
His assist went down as a key pass and big chance created, with his overall display reminding Postecoglou and Tottenham supporters of just how vital he will be next season.
