Everton fans will be delighted after a new foreign exchange partner was announced in the wake of Dan Friedkin’s takeover agreement.

Corpay Cross-Border Solutions posted on X (24 September) to announce they are now the club’s official foreign exchange supplier, just one day after Friedkin agreed on a deal to buy the Blues from Farhad Moshiri.

Although no financial details were released in a statement on their website, the Toffees did confirm that the partnership is a multi-year one, providing further financial security for the coffers.

Those coffers are also set to be boosted when Friedkin officially takes charge at Goodison, with Corpay likely to be the first of several new sponsorship and partnership deals agreed under the new ownership.

Corpay partnership must be a sign of things to come at Everton

Poor ownership choices and historical circumstances have frequently limited Everton’s ability to maximise their revenue streams, and that’s not helped to alleviate their stricken financial situation.

However, that all looks set to change over the coming months, with Friedkin’s takeover coinciding with the final season at Goodison Park before moving to Bramley-Moore Dock on Liverpool’s waterfront.

The relocation is set to send the Toffees’ matchday revenues through the roof, as well as giving the club the opportunity to make money from a ‘365 destination’ that also can be used for non-sporting events [Insider Media, 3 July].

Furthermore, with one of Friedkin’s priorities being to rectify the club’s debts [Kieran Maguire, 24 September], fans will soon be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Not only does Friedkin’s arrival finally bring an end to the club’s long-winded takeover saga, but it also gives the Toffees the chance to look forward rather than back, for the first time in a very long time.

In other Everton news, Troy Deeney thinks an injury to one Toffees player would damage their hopes of staying in the Premier League.
