Wenham wowed by 'Exciting' Tottenham talent after what happened yesterday

John Wenham has praised young Tottenham forward Mikey Moore after the 16-year-old scored again in pre-season.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose has suggested that the senior members of Ange Postecoglou’s squad are starting to recognise the forward’s talent.

Moore was on target as Tottenham recorded a 3-2 victory over Vissel Kobe in Tokyo on Saturday (27 July).

The youngster tapped home Jamie Donley’s low cross into the box four minutes from time to score his second goal of pre-season.

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has suggested supporters should get used to the sight of Moore.

“It has been brilliant to see Moore establish himself within the squad,” Wenham said.

“I think some of the other players would have heard the hype but are now seeing Moore really deliver in first-team matches.

“He is playing with senior players who have been there and done it and I think that will therefore be good for his confidence.

“It helps him establish himself in the team but also demonstrates to his teammates that he can be trusted on the ball. Therefore, I think Moore will be heavily involved next season and offer a really exciting option for Spurs.”

With the likes of Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray and Will Lankshear, there are plenty of exciting young players for supporters at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to get behind.

However, perhaps the most exciting of them all is Moore.

With his 17th birthday just around the corner, it appears as though the England youth international could be set for a first-team role next season.

Moore has been one of the most impressive Spurs players during pre-season. As a result, it will be hard for Postecoglou to ignore him.
