Everton told to pre-agree permanent signing as player transfer sanctioned - report

Leeds United are prepared to allow Jack Harrison to join Everton on loan on one condition this summer, according to the Mirror.

The newspaper reported via its print edition on 20 June, Page 56, that the Toffees have to sign the English winger permanently next summer.

The transfer has been sanctioned with the Goodison Park outfit paying a loan fee and his wages but they have to reach an agreement over the permanent transfer 12 months down the road.

Everton must look to negotiate a lower fee for Jack Harrison

Negotiating a lower transfer fee is beneficial for the Toffees as their financial constraints mean they must be cautious with their spending.

Committing to a high transfer fee for Harrison could further strain their resources.

There is also uncertainty over the 27-year-old’s performance and fitness over the next 12 months.

Injuries or a decline in form could make him less valuable to the club.

Everton may need to allocate funds to other areas of the squad that require strengthening and committing a large sum to Harrison could limit their ability to address other positions.

As things stand, it feels like he will be moving to Goodison Park this summer and talks over a future transfer can go on for weeks.

Harrison is someone who’s impressed under Sean Dyche and thoroughly knows his system so this signing is a no-brainer.
