Final documents to be formalised for Everton takeover - Sky Sports

Everton owner Farhad Moshiri is preparing to formalise the final documents with Dan Friedkin as the American edges closer to completing his takeover, according to Sky Sports.

Sky Sports posted a breaking news update on X stating that Moshiri and Friedkin have entered into an exclusivity agreement for the Roma owner to finalise any details remaining before ratification [the i].

Moshiri’s 94.1 per cent stake in the club will change hands once these final documents have been formalised between the two, with the Friedkin Group already agreeing on commercial terms.

Christmas might just have come early for the Goodison Park faithful if Friedkin is indeed on the brink of purchasing Moshiri’s stake in the club to become the new majority shareholder [Gazzetto dello Sport].

The Texan’s track record at Roma is far greater than the dismal example set by 777 Partners, who were forced out of Brazilian club Vasco da Gama whilst simultaneously trying to take the Toffees over [Rodrigo Calvazzo].

Moshiri kept faith with 777 for nine months after first agreeing to a share purchase agreement back in September 2023, and only after that expired on 31 May did the Iranian begin accepting other offers [Tariq Panja].

The fact that Friedkin could be the club’s new owner weeks later shows just how badly Moshiri has managed the situation, and that includes much more than just the last nine months.

Toffees fans grew increasingly frustrated with the lack of take-over progress made as points deductions and further financial issues hung over the club, but now Moshiri is finally set for the exit door, it could be party time on the blue half of Merseyside.
