Cole Palmer stuns fans as 'special' Chelsea footage drops v Nottingham Forest

Cole Palmer wowed fans during the Premier League clash between Chelsea and Nottingham Forest as a new clip quickly went viral.

Enzo Maresca’s team were left frustrated after they were held to a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge, with Noni Madueke’s goal securing the point after Chris Wood’s opener.

However, it was a moment of brilliance from Palmer which left the home support and any watching neutrals open-mouthed.

The 22-year-old flicked the ball around the Forest defender with the outside of his left foot before spinning around the other side and firing a shot on goal.

The clip, which quickly went viral after picking up over 1.3 million views and counting in just three hours, left supporters stunned by his talent.

Palmer’s first touch and overall display despite the final score have led to comparisons with the likes of Eden Hazard and Denis Bergkamp, with the touch resembling the latter’s famous goal against Newcastle.

Fans simply could not believe what they were seeing as, despite failing to pick up a goal or assist and his side drawing 1-1, Palmer grabbed headlines once again.

So far this season, Palmer has scored six goals and provided five assists in all competitions and has continued the form which won him last season’s Premier League Young Player of the Year award.

Coming off the back of scoring four first-half goals against Brighton last week, expectations for the England man were high, and he did not disappoint.

While his stats and the full-time result may not back up his display as they did last time out, fans were left stunned as they took to social media to salute his talent.

Many have gone as far as to insist he is the best player in the league, with one even tipping him to win the Ballon d’Or.
